Whither: The daily trivia game

What is Whither?

Whither is a free daily trivia game played on a board of 20 lettered hexes. Every answer starts with its hex’s letter, and each correct answer claims the hex. Join the top edge to the bottom edge in as few answers as you can.

1. Start on any hex in the top row.
2. Answer to claim it, then move to a neighbor. Rows get harder as you go down.
3. Miss once and the hex flips to a harder question. Miss again and it’s blocked.

Why “Whither”?

Whither means “to what place?” It comes from Old English hwider, and it isn’t wither, which means to shrivel. Every board asks the same question: which way down? More on what whither means.
