When does a new board come out?
At midnight in your own time zone. Everyone plays the same board on the same date.
What's the best possible score?
5: one right answer on each of the 5 rows, with no misses and no hints.
What does Blocked mean?
Your misses have cut off every route from the top to the bottom, so the board can't be finished. You'll see the answers to every hex you played.
Why didn't my answer count?
Answers must start with the hex's letter. One-letter typos are forgiven in answers of five letters or more. If you think a right answer was marked wrong, tell us.
How do streaks work?
Your streak counts daily boards finished on their own day. One missed day is forgiven per streak, and every Gold Run of 6 or more banks a freeze (up to 2) that covers another. Archive games don't count toward streaks.
What is the Gold Run for?
It breaks ties: friends on the same score compare Gold Run results. It also earns a medal for your share card, and 6 or more right banks a streak freeze.
Where are my stats stored?
On your device, in your browser. Clearing site data resets them, and they don't carry between devices yet.
Can I play past boards?
Yes. Every past board is in the archive, free.
Is Whither free?
Yes, and there's nothing to install. You can add it to your home screen from your browser's menu.
